I can understand the confusion. And looking at "chocoladetaart" I'm even surprised it wasn't translated as "chocolate tart".

That would be real 'steenkolenengels', Dutch expressions which are translated literally into english. You know Louis van Gaal (the trainer of Manchester United)? He's dutch and uses very much of this 'steenkolenengels'. By the way, the literal translation of that expression is 'stone coal english', which refers to the time in which machines were driven mostly by coal.

Yes I do, and you guessed it almost right, it's called 'Nederland'. Some people think it's called 'Holland', but that's the name of two of our twelve provinces ('Noord- and Zuid-Holland'). Nice guess though!
