Well, there was a character whose name was actually 'Googol', spelled the same way as your username.
I'll have to look out for Raydog or Socrates in the fourth book.

The word "googol" is actually a number (written as 1 with 100 0s trailing it). It was named (I believe) by the nephew of a mathematician, and is whete the company name "Google" comes from.
