god's imperfect creation

People's understanding of religious doctrine, and God's understanding of religious doctrine, are two distinct things. Only the former would be subject to updating.

i would agree with that, but god's understanding of 'religious doctrine' doesn't matter if the bible he supposedly commissioned has been changed, and not just like translated, but edited, books removed, gospels added.. hell, the bible has been changed so many times to it's current version today, by numerous popes and whoever happens to be in his council thinks it should be in that moment

some religious higher-ups are making changes to how they say their religious text should be interpreted to handle islamic people, gay people, kid's with gay parents, you name it, whoever makes them feel 'like, ew, icky", they will say it's god's will to discriminate against them, and some people in that faith still have the gall to say it is divine word of god verbatim legit status, and use it as pretext to persecute and discriminate against certain peoples sharing this planet, who by the way, are people the same as them, flesh and blood made in the image of god, i mean, i think i'm making sense here please let me know if i can explain this to you further i am just trying to open your eyes to the lies of men, not discount the sanctity of the divine

i can't believe i actually have to explain this but anyways.. i live in the state of utah near salt lake city, as i'm sure anyone who watches TV knows the stereotypes.. the LDS recently passed new protocol for handling the gay population among their members.. the higher ups, considered holy prophets on the magnitude of living saints and believed to be sanctioned to carry the will and word of god to the congregations, have now declared that the children of same-sex couples will not be allowed to be baptized or to be active members in the community unless they take certain extreme measures to disavow their parents, including moving out and having no contact at all.. as you can imagine, some of even the most devout mormons are disgusted by this announcement, but the prophets claim that this is the will of god and therefore cannot be questioned and anyone who does not comply, the church will go so far as to excommunicate them from the entire community.. what's more, this comes about at a time that the mormon church contradictorily is speaking out against discrimination against the gays in the workplace.. hm. tell me exactly where the logic is in not accepting their children? the church does realize that for men, there is no option for them to have a child except if the kid was adopted.. it's like the church is saying you can't come worship with us because we don't like your room-mates..

now, any logical person knows that religion is one just one of the many societal systems created by man, and the thing about men is that they are imperfect and their institutions will always reflect this infallible nature of the human condition..

so i'm sure that everyone all up in arms in the comment section here is a religious person, i am absolutely 100% confident that they are and what's more they are all from different religions, they have no idea which one i am referring to in this meme, and yet, they are still up in arms about it.. the separation of church and state was the worst thing to ever happen to this country now because you have a bunch of disillusioned science rejecting bigoted haughty f**king idiots believing that they are above the law, and the reason they are so upset is because their very identity is engrained in believing that their religion is the one true religion and their god the one true god, and use the excuse of god's will to write-off their shallow racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, wars, and whatever else shitty behavior they are up too
