I don't get what the mantis is thinking of when he says "alternative lifestyles."

He's saying maybe he should be gay.

I think I see it now. He's talking about changing his sexual orientation so he might have a chance not to lose his head. It wasn't really clear to me before. Thanks.

Funny. If you didn't get it, female mantises bite off male's heads after they bang, so this mantis doesn't exactly feel like getting his head bitten off. LOL!
