This is the explosion of the "Tzar Bomba" in 1961 on a island I the Artic Ocean. Yield was roughly 50 Megatons. Everything in a 22 mile radius was completely destroyed. You could receive 2nd & 3rd degree burns as far out as 64 miles away. It detonated 2 miles above the ground and directly below it, it melted the bedrock. It's the largest man made explosion ever. Oddly enough, the Tzar Bomba was built to only half of its original size of 100 Megatons. Sorry, couldn't help myself writing this down for you! :)
