Maybe I'm misunderstanding what this meme is all about (ie, if "mental health problem" is meant to be a euphemism for something else), but the statement that the mental health problem in Australia has gone away is a false one. The mental health of its citizens is still a very pressing problem in Australia.

Yeah that sounds like bullshit. I'm sure their other violent crimes went up as they do in every other country that enacted gun control. I'd rather be shot by a criminal than stabbed to death. That's for sure. :l
