First World Problems

You can't... It is a dumb limitation. You have to save it to your computer, then upload it each time or make it your public template that you can use all the time but it will be seen publicly. I do use the latter because I'm often on my phone, and uploading images doesn't work on my phone.

You should see how many templates I have in My Templates section. Still it's not enough...

I use the Upload Photo option. :)

That would be pretty clever! Then you wouldn't have to make it again.

should be reasonably simple to implement. based on what i'm hearing here, a lot of users could benefit from this.

Yea, that's the only pain in the butt thing I remember at this moment.

I'm not Socrates, but I go to google and save the picture to my computer, then I use the "upload your own image" option.

Shortcut:
Use the add image button, you can search all templates for an image, select inside current image, then stretch picture to cover entire frame. Took me a long time to figure this out. Downside, there are different orientations and shapes to some templates, so if you try to cover a horizontal rectangle like Boromir with a square pic it will stretch funny. Just use a base template that matches the pic you are covering it with. Boromir is a horizontal rectangle, Batman and Robin are a square, The Most Interesting Man in the World is a vertical rectangle.
