there seems to be a vast majority of users that don't dare venture beyond the main page, so once a meme gets a few upvotes it just escalates quickly, same reason why a few downvotes and your meme disappears just as quick. That's why alt accounts are popular because it only takes that little bump at the beginning to get it going.

Yeah I think you're right. I suspect most users don't check out the "Latest" page all that often either.

The "latest" page is my favorite place on here. And the "flip through images" option is also a good one for me. I enjoy going back to old memes and "casting my vote."
