I can't figure this place man...a lot of my comment memes get good traction sometimes, but it seems like nothing I get featured gets anything, a couple but that's it....I'm not mad tho', I just roll with it and have a good time... ;)
I even had a couple that got featured and then got unfeatured a day later...I have no idea why...I thought maybe it was a repost but I see people doing that all the time and getting big points for it....once again, not mad about it, but weird...
The main reason why meme comments are more popular for you guys is because we comment on memes that got featured thus getting our comments up votes.( or down voted )
Yeah, that's how I figured it. It's like getting free views on the front page on somebody else's coattails. Plus I like meme comments because I feel like you have more freedom to play around in them than people let you do in straight-up memes. But I still can't figure out the logic of why some of my memes do really well and some just don't. It usually goes opposite to how I expect it to.
People seem to be less strict about what they expect in a comment meme. You can use it a bit more creatively, or get away with grammar mistakes even (ok, not always lol). But there's less pressure to have it look like a standard "meme" so you can experiment a bit.
