Well, MJ donated over a total of over $350 M to charities worldwide throughout his whole career... not for the attention, I don't think he was asked either. He did it purely out of love :)

That's kind of him but I bet u anything out of all that money less then 100m was actually givin to the cause those charity's are money hogs the take like 75% of the profits
