The Army Drill Sergeant wants to be called Drill Sergeant. Anything else could mean pushups.

I wondered if the sergeant in the picture might be a branch beside Army. I thought recruits called everyone Sir or Mam. But then I saw an Army boot camp video with their drill sergeant saying to be called drill sergeant. And this is the mistake I imagine myself making if I was in boot camp.

Go look for scenes from "Full Metal Jacket" and you'll see him.
