Why is the image blue?

I'm referring to the cinematic adaptations. I like seeing the new effects as they get better each year. That wasn't always the case for me. In the early years of CGI I thought things looked too cartoony and preferred seeing models and puppets used in movies. But special effects have come along way.

But on the note of special effects, there is a point where they go too far, and many movies have been doing that. There is no need to create a movie in 3D. Also a high amount of special effects, along with a huge action scene, makes it almost impossible to see what all is going on.

I agree about 3d. My wife and I stopped paying for it. Too much action and effects can hurt a movie if it's hard on the eyes. I think that overall the quality has improved and makes for a more convincing escape from reality. As for your comment being misplaced, it happens. Especially when the screen hasn't been refreshed.

i'm not going to post any comment regarding this meme... although while i'm here i suppose its quite funny.

just recently watched the friday the 13th reboot. i felt that was an improvement on the original. it cut out a lot of fluff, and told the same basic story, just a little more efficiently (and in my opinion, more enjoyably... dare i say more believably as well).

could say something similar about the nightmare on elm street remake.

undoubtedly there are other examples too.
