Actually, America is wierd in the fact that our military personnel wear their uniforms more than the bare minimum needed. Soldiers in Britain don't have anything different from civilians, because they are afraid, because they are a target, for some strange reason. Contrasted by America where you see Military bumper stickers plastered on a ton of cars.
