I do think it is wrong to not tolerate southern pride. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but...

Southern pride is nothing more than a redneck scheme to justify irresponsible gun ownership, racism, christian extremism and homophobia. It's nothing but a synonym to white pride, and it's a disgusting and filthy pride to have.

As far as the southern flag goes, it falls in the same category as the swastika. For some, it was a symbol of the sun, and now, it is the symbol of hate and white supremacy. It's outdated, and has no place in a modern day society, no matter what your plastic pride tells you.

That's because the rainbow flag never flew in the name of oppression. Having "pride" in something like a flag that represent the losing side of a war and failed succession based on racism (yes it really was...stop lying to yourself) is not just stupid...it's sad.

So, you're basically stating that people should not have their own opinions unless special rights groups approve them? That's not how it works fairy.

Yes because your special rights group has decided that everyone else's special rights group is wrong.

I've never heard a liberal mention southern pride.

I think this is a good meme. It isn't necessarily drawing direct parallels between the issue of gay marriage and the issue of Southern pride.

It's pointing out the inconsistency of liberals invoking "tolerance" in an absolute sense to persuade others, when there are areas where they themselves demonstrate lack of tolerance.

So does pre civil war U.S. but none of these people chanting for the "good old days" wants to go there. Heh. Y'all southern pride folks should know that the rest of the world knows the real reason folks want to bring slavery back isn't labor. It's sex. It's not Gay, or pedophilia, or even murder or necrophilia if it's a slave. Slaves don't count. So being against consenting adults is actually more sour grapes than actual disapproval of the activity.
