Sesame Street is supported by tax payers, so they pretty much have tenure. Barney started off with so much potential and it was ruined over time by a combination of poor writing and uninteresting characters. Just because it is a children's show doesn't mean no effort should be put into it. As for Sesame Street, I like the classic version better than the current version.
