The Word is older than anything, Adam is just the first "human", nothing to compare.
Also the Word has a lot of "avatars", the most known one is called Emmanuel or Messiah in Judaeo-Christianity. But in reality, God has a lot of "personifications".

No problems. You may notice some different "versions" in religions, just because it's not that easy to translate, or just because the "full" truth is somewhere else.
