The planet shakes
Mountains crumble as their base quakes
Rumbles heard throughout the dark valleys
Boulders crack
Its back
The beast that plagued these lands for many days
Underneath the solid plates
It lies within
Sleeping, stirring, feasting upon rock and magma
The last of its brethren
Thought to be a terror and risk
Man made sure their extinction was brisk
Though man slayed many
The beasts fought back
Few humans now survive since the attack
Thinking until this day that they can live in harmony
A land of beauty and life now a land of refineries and desolation
The last beast slowly gathered its strength
It longed for this day where man suffers extermination
Now it is awake
Last of its kind
Fighting for its kinds sake
It raises its body from the land
Solid cliffs of rock raised even by the lifting of its hand
It crushes the mineral rich stone and it falls through its fingers like sand
Miles of stone rise upon the surface
Revealing a sharply edged tail
Leaving behind an extremely long crevice
It now stands knee deep in rubble, mountains high
Flames fuel its core
Its menacing stare makes obvious the end is nigh
It releases a fiery breath upon the last of the machinery
Flames only make more terrifying than its deep, ear-damning roar.
Its need for vengeance only makes it bloodthirsty for more.
The last of man take their winged weapons and fly
Determined not to fail to make the last of its kind die
But this monster effortlessly swats them out of the sky
Daytime made dark by the beasts cry
Its exhale like a volcanic eruption
Releasing flames and poisonous gas
Turning man’s facilities to molten destruction
Its hands take flame
As it hunts down surviving humans like ordinary game
Little did it know man had a last resort
The power of the sun
To stop both parties short
A burst of light
A wave of thunder
Takes the beast asunder
The last of man atomized in a flash
Leaving nothing of either race apart from rubble and ash
All this death and desolation
Caused in the name of cash
