Have you ever had a kid? When my wife was pregnant we watched her from the moment we knew. To say a child was unaware is nonsense. We watched her grow, kick, and hiccup. She was born 3 weeks premature and was a sweet, healthy, happy baby. To say anything else is just cruel.

An any can move. Does that mean it is self aware? No. It is illegal to abort after a certain amount of days. We don't abort babies, we abort fetuses. Many haven't developed a brain.

It's not just unable to give consent, it is unable to think. Like I said, there are restrictions on when you can abort, they have to be very underdeveloped.

If someone is brain dead, they are unaware. If they're taken off life support against the families wishes it's murder. At week 5 the brain is already developing.
