Everyone has a "personal relationship" with the all-knowing, all-powerful Creator of the universe. The key issue is whether it's a hostile personal relationship, or a peaceful relationship. The latter can only be mediated by Jesus Christ based on the blood he shed for arrogant sinful people like all of us are.
