Turning dumb kids into smart kids is not the goal of very many schools, unfortunately. The main goals of today's schools seem to be:
1. Pushing one or more social agendas (homosexuality, critical race theory, self-esteem, etc.)
2. Keeping the teachers well-paid whether they deserve to be well-paid or not
3. Keeping the parents from finding out how bad things are at school
