MSMG Card Game – Mechanics Guide (the real one)
aight so heres how this shit actually works so nobody starts making up rules mid game

Bases

every player has a base with 100k hp
once your base hits 0 youre out
last base standing wins (or last team if we do teams later)

Frontline

you can only have 1 card on the frontline at a time
that card is the only one that can attack and the only one that takes damage from attacks
switching the frontline is a full turn action

Damage Rules (important)

when you attack, your card deals its ATK
hard cap: no card can deal more than 5000 damage in one hit. anything over 5000 gets turned into temporary DEF for you
also: you can only deal up to 1/5 of the target card’s health as actual damage to the card. excess damage spills over and hits the enemy base instead
cards can never go above the hp they started with (no overheal)
DEF (the triep.io shield shit)
DEF just subtracts from incoming damage
if the damage goes to 0 or negative after DEF, that leftover becomes healing
DEF cannot be removed or bypassed unless an ability specifically says it can
when you take the Defend action, you gain +25% DEF until your next turn
on your turn you pick one of these:
1.Attack
2.Use your card’s Active ability (if it has one)
3.Defend (+25% DEF till next turn)
4.Switch what card is on the frontline
thats it. one action per turn.

Card Death

when a card hits 0 hp it dies and leaves the field
most cards can be revived later
exception: if a card’s max ATK is over 25,000, once it dies it’s gone for good (no revive)

Abilities

Active Ability
costs your whole turn to use
usually stronger effects because of that
Passive Ability
always on
the only way to turn it off is if an enemy ability (active or passive) disables it
examples of disable effects:
“select 1 passive and disable it for 3 turns”
“for every 3 passives an enemy has, 1 random one gets disabled (resets every turn)”

you can have both active + passive on a card but those are rarer and usually have worse base stats

thats the whole core. everything else (categories like tank/glass cannon etc) is just for balancing and some passives that care about them.
