True story: A few months ago, this new sushi restaurant was getting built, and I was so hyped up for it! I even got to meet some of the workers while they were preparing for their grand opening!
The next day, I happily go inside, ready to eat some sushi, which I thought would be like the ones at Edo Japan*, and sit on a chair and look at the menu.
When I was looking at it, one of the workers came to me and told me that it's not a regular sushi restaurant, and that it's a fancy one. And also that the sushi, which looks nothing like the ones in Edo Japan, is served in courses that you can't alter. Oh, and that it costs $100 per customer.
I was a bit sad, but it was still cool that a fancy restaurant opened in the town center; we didn't have that kind of stuff up until then.
I wasn't gonna go get some cheap fast food when I was expecting a nice day out, so I went to the hot pot restaurant** next door and had the time of my life!
*A takeout restaurant that exists here in Canada, not the literal city LOL
**I LOVE hot pots! To me it's something that everyone should experience at some point in their lives!
