I absolutely agree. Not only did He take on all our sins, He, a perfectly righteous being, became sin.
His scurging and "buffeting" at the hands of the romans and temple guards left Him unrecognizable as a man. The Shroud of Turin shows what was done to His body: the scurging, the thorns driven into His head, the nails driven into the median nerves in His hands, the spike driven into His feet. For anyone that has not watched, "The Equilizer 3", the median nerve can be an extreme form of pain induction. The spikes were driven into each of His. Many that went through the level of scurging He went through didn't survive. He survived to fulfill His mission then "died" of His own free will. The Creator of all treated contemptuously by His creation...hated by His creation probably caused Him great emotional pain.
