Through testing and documented studies, we know that:

– Landlords are less likely to rent to Black or Hispanic people based solely off of their names. The more "ethnic" your name, the less likely spaces in higher income neighborhoods are likely to rent to seekers.

– School funding is often tied to local property taxes, so many predominantly Black and Hispanic districts have fewer resources than wealthier, whiter districts.

– Black and Hispanic defendants receive longer and harsher penalties/convictions in court when compared to white defendants.

– Traffic stop and search-rate data in many cities shows Black and Hispanic drivers are stopped more often than White drivers. Every Black man you've ever met with a driver's license has been pulled over just for being black.

– "Resume audit" studies (identical resumes with different names sent to employers) have repeatedly found lower callback rates for names perceived as Black versus white,

– Voter suppression targets minority voters to a greater degree than white voters. Just look at the southern states trying to erase minority controlled districts in this election cycle.
