Do you think greed does not exist in socialism? Greed IS socialism. It is the greed for power and control over the masses. It is the worse kind of greed. If a person starts a business because of greed he or she only has a limited scope, employees and customers. But in socialism that greed has a universal effect.

It is time you stop reading the propaganda and actually open your eyes and look around. Look at Argentina right now. Socialism caused hyperinflation in that country twice. They finally pulled their heads out, which is very rare with people who have been generationally raised under socialism, and elected a free market guy, Javier Milei. He has turned Argentina around and they are, for the first time in forever, having a booming economy. They could surpass us economically one day, one day soon.

And when I talk about the economy, I am talking about how the free market lifts all boats. Yes, the rich are getting richer but so are the poor and the middle class. That is how it always works. It never ever in any country has created poverty. That is a myth invented by socialists to try to sell their line of bull crap.

Do not even think about pointing to the Scandinavian countries as your example of where socialism works. They are all market based economies and that is NOT socialism. They are more socialistic than we are and Sweden even tried full on socialism and they just about went bankrupt so they backed way off of that.

Socialism is more than just businesses. Socialism eliminates all private property rights. Everything, including your life is owned by the state. And if the state owns everything then you are at the mercy of the state to do anything. There is no freedom other than what the state allows.

The more social programs are created in America the more poverty it creates. You cannot tax and spend your way into prosperity. It has never worked nor will it ever.

Instead of doing that Lyndon Johnson created a welfare state that was designed to keep people poor and either intentionally or unintentionally, to bust poor families up. But his stated goal was to create dependency. Speaking specifically about blacks Johnson said, "We'll keep these [n-words] voting Democrat for a 100 years".

What Franklin meant was not cruel, nor was his intention that people should starve to death. What he meant was that the fear of starvation is a great motivator. This nation was build upon the idea that if a person worked they would succeed. That does not mean get rich, it means they would succeed in whatever goal they were trying to accomplish. If they did not want to starve to death then all they needed to do was work, either for themselves or for someone else.

One of the greatest myths of socialism is that is trees you from working. NOTHING frees you from working. Even if you are living in a cave in the middle of nowhere, you have to hunt for food. The difference between the free market and socialism is that in the free market you have the potential of setting your life up to where you have earned enough money to live the rest of your life without working. Nothing at all exists like that in socialism, in fact it is quite the opposite. Socialism is a prison labor camp. Everyone is a slave to the state. If your value as a slave diminishes then you are exterminated. You do not work for your benefit, you work for the benefit mostly of the ruling class and after that for everyone else.

What you are thinking of is fascism. Fascism is socialism with private property ownership, not rights, just ownership. You can own land but you have no rights to it. The government retains all rights to everything.

Go look up fascism as defined by the two men who created it, Giovanni Gentile (pronounced Gen-tee-lay) and Bennetto Croce. Benito Mussolini learned of it from them.

Fascism, today, has a completely different definition of what Gentile and Croce defined. The left's definition of fascism means, "I hate you". Instead of telling someone who thinks different than they do, "I hate you for not agreeing with me", the left just calls them fascists.

They all connect back to socialism, the predecessor of communism, fascism. Nazis are socialists. Hitler may not have acted like a socialist but he campaigned as one and this is how you know that socialism is a failure. It concentrates all political power in the government and not the people. When you set up a system like that you are going to attract Hitlers, Stalins, Lenins, Maos, Castros, etc. They may or may not hold true to the goals of socialism but it doesn't matter because socialism have them the opportunity.

Anyway.... The American Progressives were accepting of all of the variants. Then in about 1928 the NY Times printed an article on the atrocities of the Soviet Union and that is when the cracks begin in the Progressive movement. Then Hitler invaded Poland and then joined forces with Mussolini. So what were the Progressives to do? They dumped fascists and Nazis like a hot potato and then accused them of being far right. Then they invented that idiotic scale that EVERYONE uses today. It is taught in the highest levels of academia. But it is bogus. If you have 2 versions of socialism on the far left and 2 other versions on the far right, then were is freedom? What happened to the founding fathers? They were not centrists, they have everything in common with people who are on the far right. They were NOT fascists or nazis
