It's a reference to the Tower of Babel in the Bible. Basically, man wanted to create a huge tower structure becausein their pride they wanted to be higher than God, so God made them all speak different languages so they couldn't communicate and finish the tower.

Yeah probably. I just had the idea and filled it in how I thought about it. I was gonna translate to Japanese, but Greek fit onto the template better.
