It reminds me a lot of that episode of The Magic School Bus where Arnold took his helmet off in space.

What’s interesting is there is no pressure in space, w/o no crushing force. In fact you would have the opposite problem, though it wouldn’t be bad enough to be the reason you would die. You would probably freeze first.
