I don't think "half the power of Edgyhead" is necessarily something you can decide or quantify

Not trying to be rude but scaling your own character based off of another person's will just end up messy and create issues when it comes to the powerscaling and interactions of characters

Like if Xander is on the same level of Edgyhead but also gets shot dead it creates inconsistencies for your and others' characters

humble opinion: powerscaling in general is just a dumb idea

in theory, the weakest of all can beat the strongest character of all fiction.
why? because the writer says so.
it doesn't matter who's actually stronger, just like Stan Lee said, if he wants spiderman to win, spiderman will win

I like Powerscaling because it, well, helps me scale my characters power and allows me to come up with ideas for fight scenes. Of course, I’d say powerscaling is a good writing tool and not good as something to boast about.

I honestly agree, as I've gotten a bit more mature, I have come to see that the exact power level of characters isn't insanely important to the story and that a creative writer can make that kind of thing work

At the same time though I also think it is necessary to some degree to keep the plot consistent, the lack of any proper powerscaling often leads to characters that, to be frankly honest, makes them feel like total frauds.

Yeah… I wasn’t fully awake when I put that there.

Also I'm not gonna hold you Xerxes took on 3 of some of the strongest characters in Bossfights

Ignoring the other thing I said, even if they actually are half as strong as Edgyhead, I've said before that Edgyhead isn't as powerful as Xerxes, even if I still think he'd honestly have a slightly higher chance to win because what makes him strong is the fact that he has some crazy bullshit rather than raw power but that's it's own can of worms

Xerxes clears here

If you think this is crazy in powerscaling terms, just you wait, there’ll be a future villain who will take on Inkmatas, Eggyhead, and the Collector at stronger forms.
