How?

The universe started 13.8 billion years ago as a dense point that rapidly expanded and cooled. Space, time, and matter burst into a super-hot dense point, where the universe has been expanding ever since.
That’s all I’m saying.

No one would have been doing any science back then.
What caused the universe?

She just told you what caused it?

She did not say what caused space, time, and matter burst into a super-hot dense point. By the way, space and time never have any density.
1 up, 3d
F**k do you mean gng
The dense point that space time and matter did burst FROM (not into) is a singularity
Which caused the universe
0 ups, 2d
Where did matter come from?
You said that a singularity was around when space and time decided to expand, implying that time expanded.
In order for space to expand, parts of it would have to move away from each other, but motion is only ever through space.
There is no proof that matter can become arbitrarily compact.
0 ups, 3d,

How do you know that matter can become arbitrarily compact?
Parts of space and locations are the same.
Where did the matter that the singularity was supposedly made of come from?
Time is immutable; it can't expand.
1 up, 3d
Matter is everywhere genius
And who ever said anything about time expanding? Only space.
And space still expands essentially everywhere. Even if some areas are locations.
And matter can become arbitrarily compact when gravity completely overcomes all internal repulsive forces. Aka a gravitational singularity.
Argument over. No excuse in replying. I win

By the way you said why are cults objectively bad so you basically dont know jackshit

How do you know that matter can turn into a point?
Parts of space are locations. In order for a part of space to move, the location would have to move out of itself, which would be absurd.
The singularity was not around at the beginning if mater turned into it.
1 up, 3d
Matter turns into a point through gravitational collapse
Space still expands in areas that aren’t locations.
And matter makes up everything, which you learn in 4th grade science at most, so yes, the singularity was still around when space and time decided to expand.

I did not say "gng."
How can space expand? What caused the singularity?
1 up, 3d
When matter and energy become so densely packed that the gravitational pull overcomes all physical forces, which causes the region to fall into an infinitely small point. That’s a singularity.
Space expands because the fabric of the universe is dynamic, not static.

pretty much yeah

i believe in god but din’t have any christian beliefs or follow any rules other than that
0 ups, 3d
What about agnosticism? Basically atheism but you still have a belief in some kind of creation theory and in your own unique ideas. Agnosticism is actually an extreme, where you believe everything is exactly as it seems, in a way that means nothing is special and everything is always going to be ordinary, and nothing is going on beyond what the naked eye can see.

Nothing wrong with atheism, I just believe that a universe so intricate, beautiful, and perfect for US to reside, for planets, stars, and galaxies to form, have to come from a creator. Our neurology is wired to worship a creator, and God provides a path to ultimate happiness. Whilst of course, if you don’t believe in god, heaven, or anything like that, many Christian teachings still bring many benefits for your mental health, social, intellectual, & physical benefits. Of course, these are attainable outside of believing, but they are FAR more viable when you believe that YOU have a purpose on this planet.

Anyways, hope you read allat. If you didn’t, oh well

Christian propaganda aside, nice opinion. However. This is almost completely illogical. We are not “wired.” We simply seek information we do not have yet, so we hypothesize. Or, at least, that’s what I’d call religion: a hypothesis. A theory that has not been proven or disproven. In the end, even if one of them is true, who created that creator? Following the logic you give us, everything comes from something. Where did your god come from? And where did that thing come from? It is infinite. Endless. Anyway, I’m not trying to disprove you. I’m just pointing something out.

For one thing, the belief goes that “God is eternal”. He is without creation. Now, I definitely find that hard to believe, but if everything has to come from somewhere, this all has to root down to something, something eternal and intelligent, and I find that science alone doesn’t make that clear. Now, as for the other thing, our brains ARE wired to worship a god. Scientists have made studies that show that our brains are designed to believe in a creator, which is why every large-scale civilization came to believe in something. Why would a brain, not created to worship, lead so many to worship?
0 ups, 3d,

The desire to know things we cannot answer about the origin of everything is, in my opinion, the reason we come to worship gods. They are our answer.
0 ups, 3d
This innate desire is wired within our psyche, to worship a creator. This is, as I’ve come to believe, because a creator wired our brains to be more than hunter-gatherers

God is eternal. The specified information in DNA must have an intelligent source.

Then vitality’s statement is flawed in another way. Not everything comes from a creator. If god is eternal, he is either a concept rather than a being or merely a being of pure energy, the only constant in this universe.

If you draw on a canvas, are you a part of the canvas now?

Depends on what you mean by “part of the canvas.”
1 up, 3d
He created the universe, this does not mean he has to abide by the laws of the universe. He exists on his own plane. What I mean is, just because you painted on the canvas, it doesn’t mean you are in the painting
