The original novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl was actually inspired by the real life Cadbury factory in England. Wonka having the purple as the main color for its branding is a rather obvious hint of that and Roald Dahl himself stated it therefore a Wonka Experience wasn't really necessary in the first place. Lots of people don't seem to know that the real life Cadbury chocolate company inspired Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory so Cadbury could attract more business including tourists for itself by letting people know that their company is the real life inspiration for the Roald Dahl novel.
