Why Europe nearly got wiped out-
1) Unclean living conditions.
2) Population giving into pagan fear and superstition instead of listening to God's Wisdom and Knowledge.
3) Killing off cats and any other animals that preyed on rodents because of fear and superstition.

1 and 2 are a given in places like NYC and LA but what about 3?
