I just made this up last night: There's a dude named Lord Nevrick who has control over the entire army of a kingdom and is heir to the throne. He's inspired by Judge Holden from Blood Meridian, and what he does is torture prisoners until their bodies can't take it anymore. But not just prisoners, he kidnaps women and children. This man uses some children as his laborers if they're lucky, if not; he rapes, crucifies them, burns them, pushes their bodies to their physical limits for pain, and sees how many objects he can shove into their holes without them dying (which he does to the protagonist's wife later). If he's satisfied just raping the kids, he cuts out their tongues, severs their hands, and releases them back into town alive. On one prisoner, he sawed the guy in half at the waist with surgical precision to not cut organs, rotated his lower half 180 degrees, sewed him back together like that, and crucified him on top of that. This process paralyzed the man because the spine had to be cut. As if that wasn't bad enough, he kept the prisoner alive for months, he was pissing and shitting himself because he lost control and feeling from the waist down, and the crucifixion eventually killed him anyways. But wait, there's more. At the beginning, the MC's son was kidnapped too, so he went on a rampage to get him. The MC was eventually captured after discovering his wife with many objects in her thingie (yes, THAT thingie). He was seized and forced to watch Lord Nevrick rape his son and disect his son's testicles. And at the end, the MC has dinner with Nevrick and forced to eat soup. What's in the soup? His son. He only discovers this after nearly swallowing his severed p**is. What's more? Nevrick is eating his wife. Nevrick did all these things out of curiosity for pleasure. The MC was seized, but he escaped and had his way with Nevrick in more ways than one because he had nothing left to lose.
