If you ask me I think the Turkish and Egyptian authorities were protecting those gay people by denying them entry into those countries where people don't take kindly to gays and are likely to inflict homophobic violence on them. Why would gays want to vacation to oppressive homophobic Islamic theocratic shithole countries in the first place? Doesn't sound like a very fun place to go on vacation.
