this is lowk so annoying. if you at least know a decent amount of what happens in a game, you don't need to play it to understand and be a fan of it.

I may have worded this poorly but I assumed People would know what I mean because this is kinda a big topic rn. The people I’m talking about are the people who talk about a game as if they’re a big fan and get into conversations about it pretending like they’ve played it, but haven’t. This doesn’t apply to people who say they’re a fan of something and admit they haven’t played it yet, though for video games specifically you really don’t get the same experience without playing it
