Taking scripture out of context is the MOST CLASSIC thing I've seen someone do to try and say someone who believes this or that is wrong. And it's not just non-Christians. It's other Christian denomenations, too. I'm not saying that a rule we had before 1978 was right. Maybe read the BOM from, and I mean it, COVER TO COVER, and DO NOT SKIP Alma 3:6-9. Also, the cursed skin on the Lamanites was they were cut off from the presence of the Lord, and they were marked, darkened. It doesn NOT say black. Also, by the definition of the word cult, EVERY SINGLE RELIGION IN THE WORLD would be considered a cult. By the definition of the word Christian, Mormons, are, in fact, Christians. Another Christian denomenation. The biggest word on the sign outside of our chruches, mind you, Mormon isn't even ON the sign, isn't church, isn't Latter-Day Saints, but JESUS CHRIST. And there is no condemnation for those who are in Him. Also, 'prophet Muhammad' literally married a 9 YEAR OLD AT AGE 53, and in the Quran he wrote to kill all unbelievers, Surah 9:5, 29, 8:12. I'm also going to say that I don't think that Smith should have done some things he did, but maybe you need to look at the bigger picture. God uses imperfect people. Why would Satan tell someone to bring forth more teachings of Jesus Christ? HE WOULDN'T. THERE'S A REASON HIS NAME IS SATAN. It means ADVERSARY. Which is ALL TEACHINGS that aren't of or against Christ. That's why so many religions exist. Satan created them because he wants to deceive. Different Christian denomenations exist because they emphasize different things. We emphasize enduring to the end, temple ordinances, daily prayer, Plan of Salvation, and Missionary work. Mormons believe in Christ, that's why they are Christians. The Plates were taken by the angel Moroni after they were translated, even though the first 116 pages were lost because Martin Harris's wife hid them with the intention of discrediting Smith because she wanted him to prove he could do it again and then disprove him because the translation was different due to the changed text. That's why Lehi isn't in the Book of Mormon. I know my religion better than you. And Jesus Christ, the only Son of God Himself is at the center of it. Case closed.
