So many episodes came in April when the Quest Sprout Marathon was happening, so we're quite a few episodes behind on the series. I might do another marathon so we can catch up a bit!

While the thread is here, some viewers of this series had a bit of criticism that some fans didn't really want to hear. However, I can honestly agree with those viewers.

The criticism in question: the Wizard arc.

Some viewers were saying how that arc felt kinda shoehorned in. While it was a cool arc, I agree. The story started off as a simple slice of life/drama series, and then all of a sudden a fantasy rescue adventure happened. There WERE some minor details that foreshadowed it, but it still seemed like Eggbug saw Quest Sprout's story in Swords Comic and decided to take that approach.

An arc with magic and multi-dimensional worldbuilding doesn't really fit in this otherwise non-fictional premise.

Another thing is that Shmogle, the character who debuted in that arc, doesn't get utilized a lot after that. He kinda just shows up to be Cat's friend and that's it.

Despite all that, the Wizard arc DID do three things better than Quest Sprout's story:

- Having stakes in the rescue mission (The Wizard was going to turn Cat into a semi-sentient plushie/figurine if she didn't get rescued, while all Eternal Slumber did was trap Momma Sprout in his tower without there being any kind of consequence if Quest Sprout didn't rescue her.)

- Having an actual battle against the villain (Bird and the Wizard were straight-up beating the crud out of each other, while Quest Sprout just shrunk the body of Eternal, who then sheepishly watched him rescue Momma Sprout.)

- Giving a decent amount of screentime to all of the characters (We got to see everything Cat went through from being kidnapped by the wizard to being forced to play video games with him, while we saw ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on how Momma Sprout got captured by Eternal and what she was going through while trapped in his tower.)

This is all entirely my opinion, and you don't have to agree with me. I STILL like this series as much as you guys do!
