Criminalizing self-defense enables and emboldens real criminals.
Here's a supposedly Christian man named Dawson McAllister denouncing someone for defending himself. Read the article for yourself.

The author of the article tells it like this: "One night, we were in her bedroom, lying on her bed, and we got into an argument. She kicked me, so I hit her. That's when she broke up with me."
Sounds to me like this guy may have been justified in striking back, but Dawson McAllister doesn't think so, He responded to the author by saying " Quite simply you should not have hit your girlfriend." Even though she hit him first?!?
I am not bothered that the author of this article struck back physically in response to being struck physically himself. What I am bothered by is that the guy still wants to be a relationship with this girl. He should be glad that she broke up with him and move on. Trying to continue this relationship will not end well for either of them.
