Thank you for the explanation. Too many people believe that if someone hurts you emotionally/verbally, you're justified in hurting them physically. I strongly disagree. Actions not only speak louder than words, actions also hurt more than words. If the most painful thing you've experienced is getting your feelings hurt, you really don't know what pain is.

The author of the article tells it like this: "One night, we were in her bedroom, lying on her bed, and we got into an argument. She kicked me, so I hit her. That's when she broke up with me."

Sounds to me like this guy may have been justified in striking back, but Dawson McAllister doesn't think so, He responded to the author by saying " Quite simply you should not have hit your girlfriend." Even though she hit him first?!?

I am not bothered that the author of this article struck back physically in response to being struck physically himself. What I am bothered by is that the guy still wants to be a relationship with this girl. He should be glad that she broke up with him and move on. Trying to continue this relationship will not end well for either of them.

Liberals think Conservatives are violent because we own guns, but when was the last time a group of Conservatives blocked a freeway, turned over cop cars, rioted, looted, threw Molotov cocktails, or burned buildings?

There's a big difference between owning a gun and firing a gun. People that don't understand that difference are the reason why the 20th anniversary re-release of "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" had the shotguns the police were carrying digitally removed.

Conservatives are much less violent than liberals, and when conservatives do shoot people dead, most of the time those people actually deserved it because they were endangering people's lives.
