What the f**k kinda hobby is that

Ones picked up by talentless people who can name all countries, flags, and capitals in the world and will never let go of the fact that it’s the only thing they can be good at

But seriously knowing how to make maps and the geography and cliodynamics is a very important part of world building

I don’t like cliodynamics but it was the best word to use to mean “historical patterns” bc that’s a big thing in worldbuilding
