Back in the day we didn't have YouTube or the Internet, and we knew better than to ask any adults
{especially our parents}
for help, so when something broke we found a way to fix it, no matter what it was, by getting our hands dirty and a long process of learning and elimination until we found the problem and figured it out ourselves; Necessity is the mother of invention means if you can't fix it IT WON'T GET FIXED so we taught ourselves without whining about it
