What is Transhumanism – Core Concepts and Characteristics
At its core, Transhumanism revolves around the belief that humans can and should transcend their natural biological limitations.
Key concepts include human augmentation, genetic engineering, and AI in transhumanism. Pioneers like Julian Huxley and F.M. Esfandiary laid the groundwork for what transhumanism stands for today: a future where humans evolve beyond their current physical and mental limitations."

(A glossary is provided after the conclusion of the lesson)
Ancient Gnosticism faded as a formal movement, but its instincts never went away. They still show up whenever people treat the body as a prison, creation as a mistake, salvation as self-discovery, or Jesus as a spiritual symbol detached from the God of Israel, the cross, and the resurrection.
Most people repeating Gnostic ideas today do not call themselves Gnostics. They call it awakening, consciousness, self-actualization, spiritual evolution, deconstruction, or a deeper version of Christianity. The language changes, but the pattern remains familiar. The true self is hidden inside. The body is secondary. The world must be transcended. Salvation comes through discovering a secret truth about yourself.
Christianity tells a better story. Yahweh made the world good. Human beings are embodied image-bearers, not divine sparks trapped in flesh. Sin is real. Death is an enemy. Creation groans under corruption, but creation itself is not the enemy. The Son did not come to help us escape the world God made. He came in the flesh to redeem us, raise us, and restore all things.
