I’m not sure, but I don’t think that there would be any interference in the market in this situation. Spirit is going completely out of business. It would be the government buying an otherwise dead business, changing the name and taking it over completely. It wouldn’t be a commercial airline, charging fares to the regular public. It would be used to send illegals back to their home countries.
JetBlue tried to buy Spirit in 2024, but wasn’t allowed to. They were told that they would be violating antitrust laws and that it would harm competition and lead to higher fares all across the various other airlines. That was when Spirit was still a viable business. I don’t think that this is going to be an issue anyway. The government most likely won’t be buying it and won’t be doing what the people on social media want them to do with it. It’s just a lot of wishful thinking.

Well, for the most part, we’ve always had some level of surveillance going on. A lot since WW2. Especially as the surveillance technology got more sophisticated. It really ramped up after 9-11. The government has been monitoring people regardless of which party is in the WH. George W. Bush started the Dept. of Homeland Security after 9-11. That’s been misused a lot ever since.

I think that it’s helpful in most cases. To find really dangerous criminals and real terrorists. I think that the government started overstepping its authority and getting out of hand a long time ago.

I agree that it’s wrong if the people turn out to be innocent or harmless. A lot of those people aren’t your average “every day” protesters. There have been a lot of reports that have proven that many of those “protesters” are paid agitators sent from various far-left organizations. They infiltrate these protests in order to cause maximum violence and destruction. They make the actual legitimate protests and protesters look worse by their actions. They want Trump to crack down on the protests so they can use that as an example of him being a tyrant. The mainstream media doesn’t want to report any of that though. If it was just the normal people, with legitimate grievances, doing the protesting there wouldn’t be much of what you’re talking about. Trump has said several times that people should be able to protest as long as they’re not violent. The mainstream media never wanted to report about Obama and Biden’s governmental overreaching.
That’s the way I feel about it.

Honestly, I don’t watch any of those news outlets. I used to watch CNN years ago. I only watch “Gutfeld” on Fox. I get most of my news from online independent news sites. I get a lot of news from a site called “Citizen Free Press”. They’re a news aggregator and have news from both sides, left and right. They let you read the actual articles and make up your own mind about these things. I know that those news organizations that you listed aren’t interested in telling people the truth about anything. They want to control the narrative and only tell you what they want you to hear.
