I would blame trusting China as the main problem, where you would blame Trump. Both did play a role, but the hard truth is any business that can't weather a few tough years was in trouble before any trade war or tariffs started. Even outside the midwest there are farms facing land grabbers, political groups demanding they be forced out to make room for homes, datacenters and more. Flat land is valued over food, not a new problem, not a problem with an easy solution.

Overall, I would give President Trump a B- for his polices protecting our resources but more needs to be done or Bill Gates will get his wish, and Americans will be forced to eat bugs.
