You may have noticed that I specifically scheduled the whole marathon so that this thread falls on May 1st, the day that Quest Sprout's very first episode made its debut in 2020. Matthew considers this day his birthday!
With that being said, this is where the Final Qwest had a bit of a downfall IMO; The story doesn't say anything regarding Quest Sprout's birthday, or if the Final Qwest actually took place the night before it. Back in February of 2025, other Swords fans and I were forced to wait until May of last year for part four JUST so Matthew could add the Birthday Blade to the scene.
He DID imply on the website that Quest Sprout was going to wield it at some point, but I was under the impression that there would be a scene where Quest Sprout was going to celebrate his birthday at the Adventur'r's Tavern. When the Final Qwest began, I thought "Okay, save Momma Sprout first and THEN celebrate his birthday! That'd be cute!", only to wait a few months for this episode.
The Birthday Blade just feels very shoehorned in without any kind of implication that Quest Sprout's birthday was underway.
Not to mention that I was like "Wait... isn't a Godsword supposed to defeat the Demon Swords?", thinking that Quest Sprout was gonna kill Eternal using the Birthday Blade, which is not true, as established in the rest of the thread.
