“With that little sword of yours? Come on. he left you. I’m all you have. Join me, and I'll give you power beyond imagination. Satisfaction for all your desires.”
“As if I need them. All I need is His Love, and I have it.”
The man chuckled.
“Do you? Because to me, it seems like he left you all alone.” He grazed his hand over her face, Agape flinched and grabbed her cheek, as blood slowly dropped from 3 scratches.
“You see? If he were with you, would I be able to touch you like this?~”
For a moment, for a single moment, a thought of doubt crossed Agape’s mind. But its roots had no soil to grow on, and quickly died.
“See? You understand now-”
Agape threw a punch into his face. He backed off, clenching his cheek.
“Wow, really now?” he chuckled, “You think hurting me will revert what you just did? You doubted him, you betrayed his trust, he will NEVER forgive you, you know that?”
Wings with dark, black feathers grew from his back.
“You were supposed to be a warrior, an unrelenting force to destroy us, yet look at you, you failed before your mission even started. You are a disgrace, a traitor. Just like us.”
“You’re wrong.”
The man, now with wings, curled an eyebrow.
“I may have doubted, even for a moment. But it had no roots. It was something you planted, yet found no soil. Because I already have a tree in my heart. A tree of His Love. I have asked for forgiveness, and He has forgiven me. Because He truly loves me, and knows that no sin can ever hurt me, even if I would doubt, He wouldn’t abandon me.”
In Agape’s hand, a fiery sword appeared, as she pointed it at the man.
“You try to lure me with lustful desires, and fail. You try to instill doubt in me, and fail. What next, demon?”
The man’s skin started to turn pale, his bones creaking and shuffling around as his form changed.
“I’ll rip out your heart”
Suddenly, a bright light appeared between the man and Agape, and a voice came from within exclaiming,
“It is not yet time for a public appearance, Agape! I will have to send you both into a realm where no soul can see you.”
The light shone even brighter, as the two were brought in and encased in an alternate dimension.
It was a beach, with a sunset on the waters. The color of the sand was dark, and the sky filled with orange. The realm had set boundaries, even though invisible, and acted as a wall, creating a dome-like shape.
