New Stats & Mechanics
While the Toons retain their original stats from Dandy’s World (except now every toon has at least three hearts), the dungeon introduces new mechanics that dramatically affect gameplay. Fear
Fear is an unavoidable part of dungeon exploration.
Each Toon has a Fear Bar, which fills at different rates depending on who you play.
Higher Fear drastically lowers your Stealth stat.
Fear increases when: Being chased, Taking damage from Twisteds, Witnessing kidnappings or failed devices
Examples:
Boxten starts with ~50% Fear and gains it quickly.
Poppy starts with ~25% Fear and gains it at an average rate.
If Fear maxes out, the Toon may panic—causing movement mistakes, delayed reactions, or involuntary noise that attracts Twisteds. Poison
Some dungeon items are tainted with ichor, a dark substance linked to the Twisteds.
Eating ichor-covered items poisons the Toon.
Poison causes 1 heart of damage at the end of every floor.
Poisoned items are easy to identify—they are visibly coated in ichor.
Poison can be cured by:
Toons with healing abilities
Specialized poison-healing potions; Kidnapped
Certain Twisteds have the ability to kidnap Toons instead of killing them outright.
While kidnapped:
Fear increases rapidly
The Toon may receive a random negative effect
Escape may require teammate intervention—or surviving a timed event
Some kidnapped Toons return… changed. Ichor Exposure
Prolonged exposure to ichor-filled areas slowly increases Fear and may apply hidden debuffs over time. Too much exposure can attract Twisteds even when stealthing.
Dungeon Alert
Failing devices, running, or loud actions raise the floor’s Alert Level, making Twisteds faster and more aggressive.
