How the Dungeon Works
The Dungeon functions similarly to the Floors in Dandy’s World, but reimagined through a medieval-fantasy lens. Beneath the Kingdom of Gardenview lies a vast underground prison—an ancient dungeon built to contain corrupted beings known as Twisteds.
Each floor of the dungeon is sealed by powerful containment devices scattered throughout the area. These devices must be charged to keep the Twisteds imprisoned and prevent a breach. If too many devices fail or remain uncharged for too long, the dungeon becomes unstable, allowing Twisteds to escape. The Toons’ role is to descend through the dungeon, charge every device on a floor, and survive long enough to escape. Along the way, they can find items, gold, keys, and lore fragments that increase their chances of survival. The dungeon is dangerous, unpredictable, and never exactly the same twice. Or you are killed
No one knows how the Twisteds came to exist—or why their hatred is specifically aimed at Gardenview. One rule is absolute: under no circumstances are Toons allowed to bring a Twisted through a portal no matter how sad looking and harmless the Twisted is. Attempting to do so is said to cause catastrophic consequences. Throughout the dungeon, players can find research books and notes detailing observations of the Twisteds. Their authorship is unknown, but some entries suggest the writer had direct contact with the dungeon—and may have known Dandy personally. These texts may hold clues about the origin of the Twisteds and the true purpose of the dungeon itself.
King Dandy’s Shop
Once all containment devices on a floor are fully charged, King Dandy will open a portal to the next floor. Before entering the next floor, Toons are given access to Dandy’s Shop.
Here, gold collected in the dungeon can be exchanged for items such as:
Healing potions
Fear-reducing charms
Enchanted desserts with random effects
Rare, floor-exclusive items
And more; The Twisteds
Twisteds are corrupted versions of Toons we once knew. Twisted by unknown forces, they are violent, unstable, and driven by a single goal: escape the dungeon and destroy Gardenview.
If a Twisted detects you, it will relentlessly pursue you until:It loses interest, You manage to hide or escape, Or you are killed. However, there is an unspoken rule.
If a group of Toons goes three floors or more without buying anything, something bad will happen. The exact nature of this punishment is unknown—Dandy refuses to explain it, brushing off questions with a smile. Whatever it is, veteran Toons know better than to test it.
