While the law established strict criminal penalties, the current status of enforcement reflects the following:
Reporting Volume: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has received over 20,000 complaints from residents reporting suspicious activity in the sky through its official reporting system.
Investigation Results: Despite the high volume of reports, state investigations have found no evidence of prohibited geoengineering or weather modification activities occurring within Florida's borders.
Airport Compliance: Major hubs like Palm Beach International and Daytona Beach International have updated their flight notices (NOTAMs) to restrict aircraft equipped with weather-modifying technology, but no such aircraft have been officially identified or intercepted since the reporting requirement began in October 2025.
