🟧 I have a particular hatred for movies that have fast as hell pacing and story so I mean it really wasn't my thing even if the action and animation was decent

🟨It's a very... strange movie. Like the characters are all passible and generic, except that I kinda liked the Slyvester Stallone ant. But like at the same time they hit you with these themes about war and justice through battle and political power amongst the working and higher class. Like that battle scene in the beginning that's pretty well done but at the same time it ignores that to be a cringey romance comedy??? Like its like the movie has no f*cking idea which story it wants to tell and as such it consistently tries to have one of the most unique tonal atmospheres I've ever seen when trying to balance it. Personally, I kinda liked that strangeness but objectively speaking, its not that well written in my opinion so it kinda balances to about a 6.5 out of 10. Still better than A Bug's Life

The MJ movie

I don't think there's a movie about Michael Jordan nor Magic Johnson, not one that I've seen. I have however seen a couple movies with a Mary Jane and even the mcu's Michelle Jones. But if you're talking about the famous white MJ music artist that peaked in the 20th century and has a famous song with the word, "black" in it, then no, I have not seen the Mick Jagger biopic

Really? It wasn't obvious? Anyway by sheer coincidence I happened to watch the new MJ movie unexpectedly yesterday and here's what I have to say about it: Ok the movie is very split for me. On one hand the musical sequences felt nothing short of transcending. The movement, cinematography, and especially the surround sound felt absolutely magical in every possible way helped by the fact I was watching it up close in an Imax theater. Everything else? Nah not really. At first I didn't really care that they weren't gonna touch on the controversial side of MJ, but I was not expecting just how black and white (no pun intended) they made every single character. Like they paint Michael's dad as this evil good-for-nothing abusive villain and every other character as a perfect little angel. Like that's not how you write real life people. Also there is WAY too much random stuff like Michael's weird animal obsession when it SHOULD be talking about his brothers, which are barely even there. Also MJ's femboy ahh voice kinda got on my nerves sorry not sorry. 🟨

Great movie with impeccable direction, (mostly) immaculate characters, top 1 cinematography of any movie, insanely memorable villains, and all with the iconic Wes Anderson style. Ash is a kinda irritating and aside from annoying lying drama with Mr. and Ms. Fox in the first half, its flawless

Actually I can't watch because the very legal website I watch all movies on does have Gladiator but like its 2 frames per second for some reason so I'm just gonna say that The Dark Knight is literally the single best superhero movie of all time and is 1,000% ◼️

The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

Personally, I don't think The Spongebob Movie or even Spongebob in general is funny at all even if it is just a simple disagreement in humor taste. And considering that the humor is literally 80% of the movie, it wasn't really my thing. I liked a lot of the other stuff though. The David Hasselhoff cameo was pure epicness and I liked Denis... But that's really it honestly. Every other returning or new character was just being their annoying typical selves which is why I also couldn't care for any "emotional" moments. Not really my thing but I can see the appeal 🟧. BUUUuuuuut... if we're talking about the memes that came from the movie than its an easy ◼️

Sorry it took a while to respond. Anyway, here are my thoughts: Honestly pretty solid. I really liked all the new characters introduced, my favorite being the Patrick Warburton horse and the Shortround snake. Plus I gotta admit it has a really well written twist villain, especially from Disney. The plot is fun, the action is solid, and man, it has such a great score, which is something I can really appreciate in a movie. My issue are the returning characters. Nick and Judy's drama in the movie is so frigin annoying and falls under that stupid, "there's a dumb misunderstanding 3rd act break-up because we can't think of any other way to create a conflict for the two main characters" cliche. Mostly a bop nonetheless so a 🟦
