The night was not yet over when the World was in chaos. Death dominated the World, father against son, daughter against mother. Friend against friend, all hated each other.
Some still stayed faithful. Some still could see the light despite the darkness in their life. They cried out, "Akeda! Akeda! Bind me! Bind me fast! Father of mine, lest I resist you!"
With this they meant to bind their own will to the Father's, so that they may not lead themselves astray.
Some had seen the signs, and having understood what was to come, gathered their relatives and friends to stay awake, to not fall into death, to vigil, for the time was about to come.
On the World, which means the entire Universe, a dark hand loomed over it, ready to snatch anyone who stumbled. Many have already fallen. Many have forgotten about the light which once governed the World.
They have forgotten about the Victory over death, and in doing so, have died once again.
It was about 3 in the morning when those who had gathered began their extols.
A demon loomed over them, ready to snatch them from life.
But as it drew closer, their esaultations grew louder, stronger and more true.
They sang with all their might:
"The splendor of the King! Has won on the darkness! The darkness! Of the World!
This is the night! In which He has destroyed death! And from the dead! He rises victorious!
Oh happy Fault! Which deserve so great a Savior! Oh happy Fault!
Amen! ... Amen! ... Amen!"
And the demon could not draw any closer, it tried and tried, but yet its power was useless against the faith of the people. And in that moment, a figure appeared from the shadows. Clothed in dark robes, with the power of the Lord behind them. Their eyes radiated with the splendor of the Moon, and they wielded a sword carrying the power of the Sun.
In that moment, the people could see the demon which loomed over them, but they did not fear, for a Servant of the Lord was with them, and with the Servant, the Scout of the Lord. And so the Servant struck the demon with the sword carrying the power of the Sun, which produced such a great light that it created a pillar of light growing into the sky and branching through the heavens. It grow across the entire World. All creatures, holy and unholy, alive and dead, could see the Tree of Light.
