While multiple forms of it exist, some more despicable than others, communism as an ideology is overall flawed. Equalized income can never really end well, as corruption eventually ensues. Even without a corrupt government, the fact that a worker that looks at a tree for a living makes the same income as someone that cures diseases is absurd

Communism as described by Marx is a classless stateless moneyless society where production is based off need rather then profit. And also what you are mentioning wouldn't happen under any leftist economy. people aren't being waged the same, they would either have total communal work, or they would just be provided a strong social safety net
